Features

Track the dish.
Not the restaurant.

No one recommends a whole restaurant. They recommend the Buff Jhol Momo at Narayan Dai. One kitchen can serve a dish worth crossing town for, and another you wouldn't order twice. Chilvy helps you keeps track of the difference.

EXPLORE

Dishes, mapped.

Not just a list of restaurants near you — it is every dish you and your friends have tried and logged across the valley, filtered by what you are craving: momo, thakali, sekuwa.
YOUR CIRCLE

YOUR CIRCLE

Taste you already trust.

A friend's recommendation beats a four-star average from strangers every time. Your friends' scores sit right next to your's, and there is no public score for a kitchen to chase.

YOUR ENTRIES

Your dish is the entry.

Where you had it is just context. Eat the same thing again and it joins the same entry, so you build a history rather than a pile of duplicates—and the note you leave is the part you would actually want in six months.

How it works

Three taps, no invented numbers.

Chilvy is built around one easy process: log a dish, rate it, and let the app do the ranking.

Log it

Search or name the dish, and you are done. Eat it again and it joins the same entry, so you build a history instead of a pile of duplicates.

Rate it

Pick a tier from "Amazing" to "Not for me", and you are done. No forced star ratings, no blank review box staring at you.

See where it lands

Chilvy slots it into your ranked list and shows you what friends who have had the same dish thought, sitting next to your own score.

The ranking

A number you don't need to invent.

Nobody can honestly answer "is this a 7 or an 8?", so we don't ask. You pick a tier, and Chilvy derives the score from where the dish sits among the others you've already had.
  1. 1 Choose a tier"Amazing", "Really liked It", "Good", "Okay", "Not for me". Saved immediately.
  2. 2 Compare, if you feel like itTwo dishes at a time, inside that tier. Skippable at any point.
  3. 3 Get an ordered listYour dishes, ranked with a 0–10 score that follows the order rather than leading it.
The rating screen: five tiers from Amazing / Must Try down to Not For Me, each with a one-line description.
